The Thuraya ECO SIM card is reinventing itself from 1st July 2010: the new profile includes 5 Units of traffic and a minimum SIM card lifetime of 12 months from the date of activation.
When this period expires, the card can be renewed for a further 12 months for the same price as 15 traffic units.
It can still be used for the same cost in the same countries, although the SIM purchase price is slightly higher.
ThurayaECO SIMs which are already active on 1st July will have their validity extended to 12 months at no additional cost.
